  • Therapy at this practice is provided weekly, this frequency is an evidence supported model that provides the most consistent treatment and the most effective results. There is no set time, most clients attend therapy for at least a year, or a longer set of time depending on complexity of their struggles.

  • Sessions are typically 45 minutes, however EMDR sessions may be longer depending on your needs.

  • You can email, call or fill out a consultation form by clicking the "BOOK A FREE CONSULTATION" button.

  • We are an out-of-netowrk provider, meaning we don’t directly work with insurance companies. This gives our clients the ultimate privacy in their treatment as Insurance companies do not have any say in your treatment. However if you would like to be reimbursed for therapy, we provide clients with a "Superbill". This can be submitted to your out-of-network insurance benefits for reimbursement. We recommend calling the number on the back of your insurance card to inquire about your out-of-network benefits. We are happy to answers your questions regarding insurance coverage and work with you to keep therapy afforable.

  • The initial session with your therapist cannot be compared to a normal therapy session. The initial session is a time for you and your therapist to connect, gather history and current issues, decide on treatment goals, course and prefered therapy modalities. If you decide at the end of the session that you are ready to begin therapy you will then confirm future sessions.

  • The fee depends on the therapist and ranges from $175-$250, sliding scale slots are avaialble for those who need it.

  • Cancellations and reschedule requests must be given with a minimum of 24 hours notice. A late cancellation/reschedule or no-show will be charged at your full fee rate.

  • We work with children, adolescents, and adults

  • Yes, we over virtual therapy for New York State Residents and in-person therapy in our Merrick, NY office.

  • Hours, times and therapy location (in-person or virtual) vary depending on the clinician. We will do our best to match you with a therapist that has the availability you prefer.

  • All our therapists have Masters Degrees in a form of counseling/psychotherapy. As well, clincians may have full or provisional licensure, board certifications and additional training in modalities like EMDR, Somatics, IFS/Parts Work, CBT/DBT, and other trauma-focused modalities.

  • The treatment modalities used will vary depending on the clinician and your goals; however the main modalities utilized are Creative Arts Therapy (Art, Music, Dance and Movement, Drama, and Writing), Eye- Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatization/Somatic Therapies, IFS/Parts Work, and Strength-Based/Trauma Focused Therapy.
